Colour Analysis, Christchurch
Personalised colour analysis in Christchurch
Style that feels like you.
More than just finding your “best colours”
For many women, colour analysis isn’t really about trends or rules.
It’s about understanding why certain colours make you feel vibrant, grounded and like yourself — while others leave you feeling washed out, disconnected or uncomfortable.
At Malone, our approach to colour analysis is thoughtful, relaxed and tailored to you. We help everyday women reconnect with confidence and identity through colour, style and self-expression.
Whether you’re rebuilding your wardrobe, navigating a new stage of life or simply wanting getting dressed to feel easier, colour analysis can become a powerful foundation.
What is colour analysis?
Colour analysis is a process that identifies the tones, contrast levels and colour palettes that naturally harmonise with your features — including your skin tone, eyes and hair.
Using professional draping techniques, we determine the colours that:
-
brighten your complexion
-
create balance and harmony
-
make shopping easier
-
help your wardrobe feel more cohesive
-
support confident personal style
The result is not about limitation — it’s about clarity.
What happens during a colour analysis session?
Your session includes:
-
professional colour draping
-
seasonal palette analysis
-
guidance on clothing colours
-
makeup, hair and jewellery recommendations
-
personalised styling insights
Sessions are relaxed, conversational and designed to feel approachable rather than intimidating.
No fashion knowledge required.
“I finally understood why some clothes never felt like me.”

Many clients describe it as finally understanding why some clothes never quite felt right — even when they “should” have worked.

FAQ
How long does a colour analysis session take?
Most sessions run between 1–2 hours depending on the complexity of the analysis.
Do I need to wear makeup?
Short answer - No. We recommend not wearing makeup so we can get the most accurate match.
Can colour analysis help with wardrobe shopping?
Absolutely. Many clients find shopping becomes dramatically easier after understanding their palette. Because there is SO much choice in shops now, it becomes a short cut to styling and helps you to filter out some of the shopping "noise".
Do you offer colour analysis in Christchurch only?
Our studio is based in Christchurch, New Zealand but we do several trips a year to city centres around New Zealand, like Wellington and Auckland. If you're interested in booking a colour analysis or other styling appointment but live outside of Christchurch please get in touch by email or social media and we'll let you know when we're planning our next trip.
I've never been to a stylist. Is colour analysis just people who are interested in fashion?
Not at all. Many of our clients have never been to a stylist and come to us because they want getting dressed to feel easier and more intuitive.
